High alert sounded in the UP along banks of Ganges river(Ganga) after flooding in Uttarakhand

The UP government on sunday asked authorities in all districts of the state on the banks of Ganges river(ganga) to be on high alert and continuously monitor the water level. This came after a glacier burst in uttrakhand chamoli triggering floods there. The evacuation process is ongoing.
